Celery in the home: This time around, instead of your coming to us, we would like to come to you; meaning, you host the class in your home. We will discuss tips and tricks for flower care, choosing colorful flowers for your home, and balance in an arrangement.

We will bring all the materials: tools, tote bags and of course the flowers! Invite up to 10 friends. Each student is $215 and this includes the finest flowers, modern vases, and a couple of hours of practice. (Min. of 5 students a class)

Hostesses enjoy the class for free!

  • Celadon & Celery's Floral Class Tips

These are the tips we reviewed in the class:

Use a clean vase by washing it out with antibacterial soap. When possible bleach the water: for every gallon use 2 tablespoons of bleach

The water should be cold if you are mixing

  • Process all your flowers by removing all the leaves and thorns, and preparing all woody stems before starting.

  • Start the arrangement by creating a boarder with your larger flowers first:  “ floral arranging, is like a puzzle - start with the bigger pieces first. Then layer with the details.”

  • Make sure that you use the spiral system if you are not using any support like taping, chicken wire, or the yucky oasis!

Don’t forget to cut all your flowers at an angle.

  • Color is important, make sure your color is cohesive with all the elements you are using; or go bold, then tone it down with interesting foliage.

Texture and depth make it three dimensional, so play with the arrangement and experiment.

Make sure you change the water everyday and don’t forget, “fresh cut means fresh life”
