Cascading Floral Crowns

June 6, 2013

When Jamie Beck calls and says “I have a project for us that supports another artist can you come tomorrow at 1 and play?”  You don’t hesitate, you say YES!… then ask questions later. It was not till I got to the studio when I heard all the details about Project Model Tee and Edyth Hughes mission to support models

I wanted to create almost angel wings that she could sleep on while lounging in the chaise lounge. I created these gorgeous fluffy shoulder pads out of dusty miller and skelton leaves.

Fireworks of  peach and cream garden roses, adorned with rannuculus wired to her hair

A 7 ft long garland made of the tiny little blooms that come off of the star of Bethlehem flowers. I pinned the garland to her head to mimic the sequence pattern in her dress. By far my favorite crown in this shoot, Edyth is so stunning!

The royal princess rose garland that draped the length of her hair and little sprigs of purple helebore sprinkled down the crown. The bottom layer was accented with pink tipped rannuculus blooms.

Skelton leaves were made wrapped her forehead and a single blown open rose was attached. I call this my Great Gatsby Floral Crown.
